Do you wear what’s trendy? Or do you start your own trend? We wanted to talk about fashion trends here at Collier and what are you folks wearing.
Some people like superfluous things attached to their clothing. Some of those things are tails, chains, buttons, zippers, and pins. Whether you like it or not, you have to respect the individual who decided to do it.
Here at Collier, some people wear blankets around campus, especially during cold weather. This can be warm, but also some people leave them in other places or the bottoms may get wet in puddles. Some wear sweatshirt blankets, which is a new trend. What could be next? Togas? Sleeping bags? Afghans? Tarps?
Being a student at Collier means lots of walking outside, both in the cold and in the rain or snow. What are some of the top trends in shoes on campus? One is Uggs, both low and regular size. Others choose high heels or high boots. Some wear regular boots like Timberlands, or Doc Martins. Some wear Crocs with socks or Adidas slides.
For pants, some wear leggings or tights. Others choose baggy cargo pants with lots of pockets or jeans with lots of rips. Some wear shorts year-round. Others wear pajamas for comfort.
For shirts, you see t-shirts with logos, crop tops, sleeveless shirts, or torn sleeves. Some wear shirts with funny messages or sports logos.
We notice that teachers and staff will also wear trendy items or clothing for the elements. For example, we notice jeans, cold weather gear, sweaters, cotton pants, sweatshirts, dresses, or skirts.
When we notice hats, we see baseball hats, hoodies, flat caps, and beanies.
Whatever your fashion sense is, don’t be afraid to start your own trend. Who knows, this could lead to your own clothing business someday!
