As many of you know, Ms. Dana Lenneper is the co-head coach of Basketball here at Collier with Mr. Jeff Mastroly.  What you probably don’t know is just how involved in coaching Ms. Lenneper is with other teams.

She is the head coach for Tennis and Basketball at Trinity Hall.   Ms. Lenneper started both the Tennis and Lacrosse programs at Trinity Hall 11 years ago. Ms. Lenneper is very passionate and really enjoys coaching.  “The joy it brings for my athletes keeps me coming back” she said.  She added, “I also love getting to be a part of my athletes lives and to see some of them play at the next level!  One of my Lacrosse players is currently playing for Princeton and played for Team USA in the World Cup in Hong Kong last summer”.   Her player called her to thank her for teaching her that you don’t have to be the leading scorer to lead a team.

Ms. Lenneper has instilled the drive to win and compete with good sportsmanship here at Collier and at Trinity. You can see by watching that she is prepared, enthusiastic and cares about her players.  Her Tennis teams have won their division for the last four years and also the South non-public A state championship last year.  Collier Basketball won the championship for the last two years here and her Lacrosse teams have achieved a high level of success.  They have battled Rumson Fair Haven pretty well, ending their 129 game winning streak in 2021 and breaking their run of shore conference championships by winning their own in 2022.  The have won their division 7 out of 12 years and a state title in 2021.

Ms. Lenneper has been named coach of the year for NJ two times and Shore Conference coach of the year 3 times.  She was also named divisional coach 7 times.

You can tell that Ms. Lenneper is very motivated to coach and help young athletes to achieve their highest potential.
